Post 5 - A photograph and its story


In the picture, we can see a piece of work of Theo Jansen called “strandbeest”. I like his work very much because he found the way to “come to life” unanimated objects (monsters like usually his called it), using external forces to move them like the wind and the pressure for example.  

This picture was taken in 2018, my first year in architecture. I think it is meaningful, because is the first activity that I have at the university. And that was on a museum in Cerrillos.

When I tooke the picture, we were seeing these machines in action. Moving like an animal is capable to do.

At that moment, probably I didn’t feel anything. But now, when I see the picture, I feel a lot of emotions. I don’t believe the lot of things that I lived form that moment

I would like to study something in relation with the society, maybe additional anthropology studies or something like this. Post 4: My Favorite TV show

Hello everyone, today I’m going to talk about my favorite TV show. Actually, I don’t watch so much TV. In facts, I don’t like the idea of spend a lot of time in front of a screen. But, when I was a child, it really doesn’t matter. It is the better thing that you can do. I remember that I like a lot the looney toons. In this TV show, each episode is about the hilarious adventures of many characters. All of them inspired in different animals like rabbits, dogs and many more. The most famous characters are Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and they history is about how confront the hunter Elmer Fudd. But, personally I prefer the history of Road Runner and Willie Coyote. I think it is a particular history of love and hate, and I love so much the devices of the company called Acme, they really can do anything. I remember that I like watch this program because I can pass time quickly and laugh a lot with my little sister. Also, I like the different characters.

Post 3 - What's you favourite piece of technology?

I think that one of the most important invention of the recent time has been the means of transport. An entire life living in to the city and moving through them, has meant a research for the most quickly form of transportation. In the past, the invention of the ships approached people that live in other continents. Today, we can get it the same with the use of airplanes, cars, or trains, even in lees time. The massification of the means of transport has an explosive arisen in the industrial revolution, with the invention of the train and the improvement of the technology in that era. Today, the use of the train is habitual. People use it every day. Like me, I have to arrive to the university 5 days per week, and travel so much distance from my home, in Puente Alto. If I don’t have this method of transport, I really think it would be so much difficult arrive to anywhere.
